Timothy Grimwade aka E.Tizz is an up and coming Gospel hip-hop sensation. At 25 years old and recently married, E.Tizz has already experienced so much in life that he has to share. Born in Enfield, he was adopted into a Christian home from birth and has since lived in South East London. Never seeing colour or race as a boundary, E.Tizz first being introduced to hip-hop music by his neighbour, became captivated by it at the age of 9. He soon grew to love it and behind closed doors began to write and practice his own lyrics. Never taking his own work all that seriously as he grew up, E.Tizz continued as many young people do, to follow his favourite artists at that time. Throughout his teenage years, his commitment to his second love, football, drew E.Tizz away from church until eventually he was not attending at all. He experienced many challenges as he enjoyed socialising with his friends but all the while knew deep down there was a lot more to life than what he was experiencing. At the age of 18, changes began to take place in E.Tizz’s life and heart. He grew to know the Lord, dedicated himself to Him and was baptised. Soon after this E.Tizz redirected his writing talent from secular to gospel as this is what his life was now about. He knew that God could use him and took it upon himself to study with fellow believers who were like-minded which eventually lead them into forming their own hip-hop gospel group known as ‘Young Wizdom’.
