In short; mashup extraordinaire. Remember years ago when mashups blew up with Dangermouse's coveted Grey Album? Suddenly everyone became their own favorite remixer over night. This is essentially what Ryan Burlison's project Drumlight is. For him though, unlike the rest, the novelty of mashing up contrasting sounds to create a new aesthetic never wore off.
