Artist
Dommelvolk was a band, part of the 1970s Dutch "new wave of folk music". They played "simple" farmers songs, broadside ballads and dancetunes from the province of Noord-Brabant. They consisted of: Ad van Genechten: guitar, flute, mandoline, lead vocals Bert Spin: accordion, harmonium, vocals Steeph Custers: fiddle, vocals Jitze Kopinga: guitar, bass, vocals. They were formed in 1977, and broke up in 1985. They have started touring again recently. Dutch readers: switch last.fm to Dutch, there is a much more extensive biography in Dutch.
