Artist
Anneke Konings (from Oudewater, The Netherlands) was discovered during a talent show on Dutch television, on January 2nd 1971. Two days after the show she was invited to cut a track in a recording studio. This tune was De Heilige Auto ('The Holy Car'). She released two more singles using Andeana as her pseudonym. Her first album, Feelings, was sung in English and released under her real (very Dutch) name: Anneke Konings. The songs on her 1975 album Tussen zon en maan ('Between Sun And Moon') were all sung in Dutch. After her brief solo career (1971) Anneke Konings recorded with two bands: Caboose and Dandylion. Her solo albums were unsuccesful commercially and therefore soon forgotten until her 1970s folk sound became fashionable again and The Excalibur Music Group released them on one CD, entitled Feelings & Fairytales (2010).
