I feel that it helps me in many ways; mentally, physically and spiritually. I’m not really a religious man, but in all due respect I was brought up in a Church. Some of my songs do have a Christian influence. Most nights I would rather write lyrics and put all my feeling in to music. Music to me is more than recognition, money or fame. Things like that have nothing to do with music. To me it’s a way of life putting all your experiences and how you are feeling in to song. Songs can be a very powerful thing influencing and encouraging people. I am an artist and like any other artist, whether it’s music, dance or painting; you would want your work to be appreciated. No painter who paints a beautiful picture would hide it under a bed or put it behind some curtains where no one could see it. No of course not they would hang it up on the wall for everyone to see and admire the work they have done; knowing at the back on my mind that not everyone will like it but some will like it. At least you’re giving it a chance encouraging yourself, then eventually you can encourage others.
