De Harde Liefde is an alternative, experimental folk rock band (of sorts) from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Fronted by Ewoud Kieft (vocals, guitar), who is also an esteemed author/novelist, De Harde Liefde is known as a 'literary' rock band: loud and lyrical, warm and rhythmic, firm yet poetic. The line-up is completed by Bart Schoones (guitar), Zoli Soos (drums) and Said Ennaji (bass). The band released an EP in 2017 (Waar de wereld eindigt), then didn't release anything for nearly a decade, only to return in January 2026 with a long overdue full-length debut under their belts: Over de rand.
