Artist
After remixing, experimenting and composing various tracks on a home computer for about 12 years and after a long break, Daz started to enter numerous remix competitions in early 2010. He was of the opinion that with not only an end product and a deadline, it would focus the mind and also accelerate the learning process. The majority of his remixes and compositions to date are listed at his web page The Blue Room. Based in Dorset, he tends to compose mainly Electronic or Rock based music, which often morphs into other genres. His major influences include: Paul Van Dyk, Adam Nickey, Faithless, Massive Attack, Prodigy, Armin Van Buuren, Enigma, Above and Beyond, Stoneface & Terminal, Garbage, Pet Shop Boys, Death in Vegas, Jean Michel Jarre, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Oasis, Travis, Metallica, Def Leppard, Pearl Jam and Sarah McLachlan. In October of 2011, Daz was included on part 1 of a 2-Volume Remix Album "Wishing Well Remixed" from the Electronica duo Harry & Lloyd, for his version of their Single 'Wishing Well', entitled the 'Echoes From Above Mix'. In total, 17 different artists contributed to the remixes, in styles that range from Acoustic Interpretation and Vocal Trance through to Dubstep and beyond.
