Day Of The Sirens was an ambient post-hardcore/alternative rock band from Colchester/Essex, England, United Kingdom. Forming in late 2008, these Essex guys came a relatively long way in a rather short period of time. Receiving wide spread reception across the UK, Day Of The Sirens formed after each member left pre-existing bands in search of creating an alternative/rock group. With the support of major magazine's such as Rock Sound (UK), the band rose to near overnight success with the release of their debut EP 'Don't Expect A Rescue' in 2009. Unlike most newcomers, Day Of The Sirens made more of an effort to get their name out to the broader public via means of publicity rather than extensive touring. In January 25th 2010 they released their 2 song EP Alois. When asked in a recent interview conducted by Onslaught Radio, Jack and Tommy described their sound as; Jack: 'Standard alternative rock, very epic, very kind of stadium in a sense -' Tommy: 'We've got a bit of a band credo, which is "if it not epic, it isn't happening".' Known for their big chorus', massive hooks, melodic mastery and a tasteful amount of screams, the band are definitely making a name for themselves, not only in the UK but also America, Asia and Australia, to name a few. For first time listeners, must hear tracks include 'Juneifer' from their debut EP 'Don't Expect A Rescue' and 'Home Is A Working Title' the first single off their highly anticipated second EP 'A Kiss From Nyx'.
