David Neres Campos (born São Paulo, Brazil, 3 March 1997) is a professional football/soccer player for AFC Ajax in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He joined the Dutch club in January 2017 on a transfer from São Paulo FC. In the summer of 2020, when his countrymen Antony Matheus dos Santos also made the transfer from São Paulo to Ajax, the Amsterdam club's media department decided to welcome Antony with a song, 'Bem-vindo Antony' ('Welcome Antony'), written especially for him and featuring David Neres as a rapper. The video went viral, prompting Ajax to release the song officially as a single on streaming platforms. 'Bem-vindo Antony' is sung by Brazilian singer, Sarita Lorena and also features Danilo Pereira da Silva, yet another Ajax youngster from São Paulo, although he was loaned out to FC Twente in the summer of 2020. Spotify scrobbles of 'Bem-vindo Antony' will end up here, credited to David Neres alone (as he is the first of the three artists credited on Spotify).
