Librarian … composer … jazz musician … songwriter … journalist. At various times of his professional career, David Leone has been all of those things. His musical education includes a degree in composition and theory from a small liberal arts college in Louisiana; life on the road playing with some jazz groups you’ve probably heard of; sitting in a 9×10 office with another over-caffeinated writer creating songs that have been recorded by artists you probably have not heard of, unless you like alt-country music. His current musical interest is focused on electroacoustic, or acousmatic, music. He enjoys finding, or creating, or sampling, or manipulating what might on the surface seem like disparate materials and attempting to discover how they will coalesce into an organic whole.
