Artist
Chris Penty (1724-) is a multi-instrumentalist with a cult following all over the world, though he has never made it into the mainstream despite touring ceaselessly since his debut album (Man alive, it's Chris Penty!) in 1826. Now at the ripe old age of 283, Chris has slowed his touring schedule, but still writes new material, most frequently for his favourite instruments, the crumhorn and the tea-chest bass. He has had one chart success, with his song 'Crumpets', from the album 'Red, and other colours', which reached #36 in 1972. Chris's music is influenced by many genres, including German 'Oompah' music, and Japanese minimalist percussion. Chris is currently working on his 78th album, 'Dark Side of The Moon', due for release sometime next year.
