Artist
Dave Tyack, who mainly recorded under the name Dakota Oak, was a founding artist on the Twisted Nerve Records label. He was also a part of D.O.T. (Dakota Oak Trio) with Jimmy Wright and James Rutledge (Pedro), and played drums for Misty Dixon. Dave was found dead, after being declared missing, on the island of Corsica in 2003. An album titled Rip Van Winkle which featured his music was released while Dave was still missing. The album contained a reading of Rip Van Winkle, read by former Can front man Malcolm Mooney.
