Artist
Misty Dixon was the brainchild of ex-Kill Laura and solo artist Jane Weaver. Combining Weaver's Rob Gretton-endorsed talents with those of Anna Greenwood, (vocals, piano, keys) Sam Yates (vocals, bass, gtr, keys) and the late Dave Tyack (drums, melodica violin), Misty Dixon produced dreamy psych-pop, including inventive covers of Prince (The Beautiful Ones) and Dolly Parton (Love is Like a Butterfly). The band released several singles, but only one album, Iced To Mode, 2003. However, the release of the album was shrouded in tragedy following the disappearance of Tyack in August 2002. Misty Dixon split up in 2004. The untimely death of drummer Dave Tyack ultimately overshadowed the band. Weaver later decided to concentrate on her solo efforts with the releases like 2005's Seven Day Smile.
