Danger Avenue started out in 2006 in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a vision to bring back the melodic, classic rock to the masses. Focus has always been on exciting live shows in the veins of KISS and Scorpions, thunderous twin leads in the style of 70’s bands like Thin Lizzy and Wishbone Ash aswell as the melodic impact of bands like Journey, Boston and mostly bands from the great era of arena rock in the 70's. Together with an AC/DC kind of edgy Rock N Roll groove, the band acquired a loyal fan base right from the beginning. The early years saw the band release demos and EP’s, playing live all over Sweden and receiving some good airplay on Swedish national radio, aswell as on international stations in mostly Europé, South America and North America. The second, self-titled EP sold out at Ginza.se, Sweden's largest music store, six times in a row in 2008-2009. In 2010 the band put out their first album, Long Overdue, which is a melodic atom bomb of rock. The band then continued to take on every stage in the country the coming years, . What makes Danger Avenue stand out is their focus on the 70’s/early 80’s sense of songwriting and their ability to stay outside of the “retro waves” with bands trying to copy what AC/DC and Led Zeppelin did in the 70’s.
