Formed in the spring of 2008, Dakota Scream is one of the most promising acts to emerge from Auckland's hard rock scene in quite some time. The nucleus of this band is four guys sharing a vision to make thoughtful, energetic, and powerful music. Not settling for anything they aren't proud to put their name behind, and not letting themselves be shackled by the rules and expectations so many of today's bands are slave to, after all music is to be enjoyed, not analysed. The band has a reputation for bringing sheer amounts of energy, intensity, and that big "fuck yeah" look in to the faces of the crowds they play to. A just reward for always putting quality first.
