DJ Kou started actively scratching in 1995, reaching the finals of the DMC Tokyo contest in 1999 as well as earning the title of the DJ Battle Champion on a popular West Coast radio station. He went on to earn many titles and win prizes with his scratching. He has worked with many different artists and producers, most notably Nujabes, Uyama Hiroto and Shing02. He also scratched on Uyama Hiroto's remix of Luv (Sic) Part 6. In November of 2013 he released his first, long-awaited album "My Whole Life" which features the likes of Shing02 and Capital.
