DESTRUCTION BABY formed in Waukegan, Illinois in 2014 when guitarist Mario Nuñez and bassist Adam Miscichowski reunited after their previous music ventures ended. Influenced by angsty ‘90s alternative rock, they went on to recruit Nellie Mendez on drums and Roberto Toledo on lead guitar to cement the lineup. They regularly played shows while writing their 2017 Human Fly EP, and after drip-feeding content to fans for years, 2021 marked the release of their comeback EP: The Things I Do For Love. That same year, DESTRUCTION BABY secured their own studio and transitioned to recording and releasing self-produced music with their singles "Howl" and "Wrapped in Plastic." Released to kick off and end Summer 2022, the Long Slide and Deep Slide EPs showcased the band’s pop punk sensibilities, with hints of hard rock and metal. The following year, they delivered a rerecording of their live 2015 track "Christmas Eve," with nightcore "Christmas Day" as the B-side, but the band was already arranging a full-length LP. Incorporating a softer indie rock sound into their noisier punk roots, DESTRUCTION BABY continued writing, recording, and playing shows around Lake County, Illinois until 2025. An album over ten years in the making was secretly taking shape, and after dropping the singles "Another Morning" and "Starlight," the band was finally ready to unveil it. Final Girl released on Thanksgiving 2025, blending grunge, emo, and even jazz to create a tale of loneliness, fear, anger, and re
