Cyberbully Mom Club started off as Shari Heck (born 1994) in April 2014 as an experimental songwriting project - recording a series of quick, personal songs and releasing them through Bandcamp under the album "Milo the Dog Sees Color." The solo project soon formed into a full band ordeal in September 2015, when close friends Sam Becht, Alex Melendez, and Peter Dimeo joined - though several solo EP's have been released since. The four have been together ever since. have toured, and play live shows debuting the "full band" versions of all of Heck's previously "lo-fi" songs that are available on Bandcamp. Heck discontinued the project in 2015. A note (written approx. early 2021) from the band's Spotify page reads: "Hey everybody who still stumbles upon the page! As you may have guessed, I don't make songs anymore. I've shifted into a different phase of life though there's such big warmth and lightness in these time-stamps of how I felt in the midst of this project at 18-20. As deeply, as inevitably angsty! I really felt my feelings through when writing alone as CBMC got started. I posted a song to Tumblr that I wrote in my first off-campus apartment in Philly. I slept on a futon in the living room to save money on 13th and Spruce. I wrote and recorded songs in that living room, on that futon, for a year and didn't care if they were good or not. There is an openness (and earnestness) I had with myself back then that I admire going into 27. Thank you for listening + supporting. I
