Curse The Mariner was a post-hardcore/alternative rock band from Queensbury, New York, United States. Coming together in May of 2007, CTM formed with a single purpose: To make music they liked. In a time where most post-hardcore bands are afraid to step up to the task of creating something new, Curse The Mariner seamlessly blends classic rock riffage into an amalgam of punk and hardcore. From their wonderfully alliterative lyrics and tight as a virgin musicianship, CTM comes at you with hooks worthy of Mike Tyson’s arsenal. The results can be heard on their debut, the EP "The Scourge." From the opening chords of the face-melting “Clearing” to the final orchestral moments of “A Dance With Jack Ketch,” one can only wish that they recorded more songs. One can only dream of what is to come. Later on in 2011 they released their full-length Moderna.
