Aria Novos was an alternative rock band with an experimental indie and post-hardcore vibe to it from Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida, United States. Ex-Oh, Clemency member Gerard Sison, founded the idea of creating something real and innovative in the winter of '09, which would later become Aria Novos. After getting together with Audrey Sinead, their voices and ideas immediately melded together and fueled the start of a new project consisting of new terrain they had never before explored. With Alex Schumacher on drums, the project was slowly getting off its feet and after creating a few demos to bring to the studio, the addition of Chris Figueredo on Bass finalized the lineup to record their debut EP "Diamond Light". Diamond Light consists of dreamy yet tangible songs. Originally based as a concept albumette about love lost and rediscovered through alternate realities, the albumette is tied together through themes of dysphoria, the pains and hopes of relationships, and the struggles of humanity and spirituality. The soothing yet course melodies of Gerard Sison are carried by the angelic voice of Audrey Sinead. With layered ambient synth/piano textures and dreamy guitar leads by Audrey and Gerard, a relieved yet tense feeling is evoked. The rhythm section of the EP is the heart of the music as it gives off an upbeat and groovy backbone. Since the release of Diamond Light in summer '10, Aria Novos added Eric Maroney on guitar and Johnny Freda on bass. User-contributed text is
