Crumbling Arches is an inventive alt-rock quartet based out of Athens, Georgia. For five years, Crumbling Arches has been fashioning music that is both progressive and poppy, combining elements of rock harnessed by artists like the Flaming Lips, System of a Down, the Shins, Smashing Pumpkins, the Beatles, etc. The band's debut full-length concept album is a definitive example of what contemporary mainstream rock lacks. "The Somnambulist" boasts clever and cohesive lyrics, magnetic melodies, and an imaginative story that will turn the heads of alt-rock connoisseurs nationwide. The album's protagonist converts his suburban home into a ship in order to escape a life of rigid routine. He is driven by the forceful guidance of internal voices that hijack his dreams.
