Courtyard Music Group was a British psych-folk band active in the early 70s comprising Howard Bradley (electric bass, glockenspiel), Frank Swales (harmonica, recorder, cymbals), Richard Jones (acoustic guitar, recorder), Bridget Bailey (recorder), Annie Vickerstaff (recorder, percussion), Mary Cartwright (vocals), Fergie Lamont (electric guitar), Cheryl Bradley (violin), and Paddy Gill (vocals, percussion). In 1974 the band privately pressed a run of 100 copies of their one and only album "Just Our Way Of Saying Hello" that they recorded as students in the rural setting of Kilquhanity School in the Scottish borders. After school, all pursued careers outside music, although Swales later played in several bands, and Jones became involved with two 16th century music groups. In 2015, the band released a replica of their album. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
