Courtney Ariel is a Singer Songwriter / Folk located in Los Angeles, CA, United States since 2006. Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Courtney Ariel combines her heartfelt lyrics, melodic voice, and gift for storytelling to create songs that are relatable and endearing. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, raised in San Diego and schooled in Santa Barbara, California-where she worked multiple jobs to put herself through college (and also where she realized she was a songwriter), Courtney describes herself as a music nerd. "I love it. I stay up way later than I should. I work a full-time day job and then I come home and work on music or go out to shows or to hear bands play. There is so much to be inspired by in this city and I feel really blessed to be pursuing this dream. I take naps on benches outside during my lunch break. It's usually pretty warm and comfortable (laughs)". Courtney moved to Los Angeles in 2006 and decided to pick up a guitar. She has been collecting stories and dreaming up melodies to help her tell them ever since. She has performed at some popular Los Angeles music venues, including Hotel Café and Room 5, as well as Lestat's in her hometown of San Diego. In early 2012 she recorded and released an EP entitled "Made Of", which was produced by Justin Glasco. Also in 2012 she was selected to take part in ASCAP’s Lester Sill Songwriters Workshop.
