Founded in 2003 by Joe Lyles, Conceptual Guerilla is a progressive organization concerned with effectively countering the conservative public relations apparatus. Our mission is training individuals in the strategy and tactics necessarily to control the public debate while maintaining integrity and successfully advancing a progressive world view. Moving beyond the daily story -- the one everybody is covering -- we explore the background, the conceptual roots, and the historical perspectives in order to get at the "big picture" of what is going on in America and the world. We look for new and innovative ways to build a new progressive America. The name “Conceptual Guerilla” derives from the idea that all true revolutions occur between the ears of the people that experience them. A Conceptual Guerilla is one who stimulates that revolutionary change in people's heads through conceptual rather than physical battle. Conceptual Guerilla's primary focus is deconstructing the current conventional wisdom (concepts, ideas, frames, memes, policies) from a progressive perspective. Beyond mere political analysis, we explore the cultural and philosophical roots of current conventional wisdom.
