Claudia Nelson is a Dutch singer, who has mostly worked in the gospel scene.She has reportedly also worked as a backing vocalist for Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Céline Dion, Anastacia,Chaka Khan, Tavares and René Froger In 1998 she participated in the 'Nationaal Songfestival', the Dutch preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Zintuigen'. She came in 6th place. Edsilia Rombley emerged as the winner with 'Hemel & Aarde'.The song was released as a single, featuring the English version 'Senses' as the b-side. The song is co-written by singer Derick. After this, she released the single 'Ben Ik In Beeld?' and worked on an album. It doesn't seem to have been released. She went on to star in the gospel musical 'A Mother's Cry'. In 2010 she participated in the first season of The Voice Of Holland, auditioning with Stevie Wonder's 'For Once In My Life'. She joined Angela Groothuizen's team. In the battle round she went up against Nyssina and was eliminated. After 'The Voice' she went on tour with Anastacia. There was more news about the recording of an album, but Claudia's debut album has yet to be released.
