Circle of Bards was created in 2008 as a development of an idea of one man: a vocalist and a composer – Mariusz Migalka. Originally conceived as a side activity, focused on recording a fully acoustic album, comprised of celtic ballads inspired by the world of fantasy. It's turned out after preliminary recording though, that the idea met an increasing public interest. The album was reviewed by „Heavy Metal Pages” and on ProgRock.pl website along with a comprehensive interview. Some of COB's pieces were aired in Lublin's Radio Centrum. In March 2009 Circle of Bards made their live debut on HelloFolks! programme in Radio Centrum, giving a mini live concert. In December 2009 CoB were appointed by Electrum Production label. CoB's first album called „Tales” made its debut in May 2010 and is comprised of pieces which are aimed at fans of celtic ballads as well as medieval knight's songs.
