Chyyanna Lee is an american country singer /songwriter currently working on her 1st official EP. Although she is new to the game, Chyyanna has a fully-formed musical identity. Infectious melodies, honest lyrics accompanied by foot tapping rhythms will show you she is ready to take the country world by storm. ​ Being a southern girl who grew up in the foster care system Chyyanna has had what she now calls the opportunity to grow up many places. From Atlanta Georgia, Carbondale Illinois, Fresno & Orcutt California to name a few. I’m sure we can agree that she most certainly has a lot to share. Society implies that people like her are not supposed to make it this far in life, Society also implies people of color are not supposed to make country music. Society is what fuels this underdogs fire. Music has always been Chyyanna’s first love. It is whats helped her through 31 foster homes and 6 group homes. Writing is how she expressed the feelings she fought so hard to keep to herself. It began with poems that had subtle melodies then soon after, those poems evolved into songs from the heart. “I used to roller skate down the neighborhood and listen to Janet Jackson and Bonnie Raitt on my yellow Sony walkman to escape” Recalls Chyyanna. She has taken influences from the two mentioned along with Shania Twain, Merle Haggard, Ashton Shepherd, Kenny Chesney & more to shape her unique sound.
