With faith in their process, West Coast producer-artist chipp curates music that steadily combines the classic with the contemporary. Their work is often infectious, drawing from endless influences within electronic, pop, hip hop, and alternative R&B. While they always had passion for music as a kid, chipp's first major release wasn't until the 2023 EP "lush + space": a brief display of experimental hip house production with more subtle, wonky undertones. The following year however, solidified their true breakout success-- as chipp earned both first place and an official placement in YouTuber-rapper Oddwin's "Jus Hav Fun, Vol. 2" remix album and contest for a house-bounce flip of his track "Tell Me How You Feel". As the year begins, chipp is preparing to gear themselves up and their small cult following to finally release their full-length debut album, a body of work fluctuating between the sounds of deep house and synth pop. If "lush + space" combined brain scritching grooves with soulful, pretty yet hazy melodies, then this new album undeniably expands those concepts to their full potential. Given the current classics acclaimed in these styles already, the new album will not only pay homage to those sounds but will also still refine them into something just as new and refreshing in time for the modern clubs today.
