Cheyenne Plains started as a two person acoustic duo. The two went their seperate ways and later one of the members re-formed Cheynne Plains under a new line up (with the blessing of the former member) and wrote a bunch of new songs in late 2010. Cheyenne Plains played together in this lineup for about two years before the lead guitarist was forced out of the band and the remaining members continued as What Is? Cheyenne Plains release a demo and EP during their time together as a full band. The acoustic duo released an EP prior to the band forming.
