Chameli (Hindi: चमेली, Urdu: چمیلی, Translation: "Jasmine") is a Hindi movie, which was released in India on January 9, 2004. It stars Kareena Kapoor and Rahul Bose and is directed by Sudhir Mishra. Chameli is the story of a prostitute,(Kareena Kapoor). Aman Kapoor (Rahul Bose) an investment banker, lost his wife, Neha (Rinke Khanna) in a car accident on a rainy night. Neha was pregnant with their child. The accident left him depressed and lonely. He drowned his grief with alcohol and smoking. Chameli (Kareena Kapoor) is a prostitute who was sold to a brothel by her uncle when she was young. She is now a tough, smart street girl. On one rainy night, Aman and Chameli, two strangers, meet each other in South Mumbai. The story slowly starts to progress, but has a twist lied ahead. While Chameli asks Aman to spend the night with her, he is still not interested. The story shows how their relationship develops and how each other's lives change.
