Philadelphia singer/songwriter, Catherine Tuttle is currently attending college as a freshman at Harvard. A true artist, she's not only a creative pianist, but also an accomplished painter and actress. By the age of 13, the song writing Muse inspired her to begin writing songs. On her 16th birthday, Catherine's parents surprised her with a gift of studio time that proved to be the genesis of her budding career. During these initial recording sessions, Glenn Barratt of Morning Star Studios recognized her talent and encouraged her to record more songs that would form the basis of her first album entitled Peel. While attending high school, Catherine Tuttle began to play the coffeehouse circuit around Philadelphia, accompanying herself on piano. As club bookers and audiences realized the extent of her talent, she began playing some of the best venues in the area, opening or sharing the bill with such artists as Phil Roy, Jeffrey Gaines, Grey Eye Glances and Amos Lee. Meanwhile, she also began to get some airplay on local Triple A radio station WXPN where she was twice chosen as Philly local pick. What those early audiences discovered was a very talented young woman with a level of maturity and selfassuredness well beyond her years.
