In the summer of 2011 singer/guitarist/songwriter Austin Lillard returned to Durango, Colorado from the University of Colorado in Boulder to reunite with bandmate James Calvet from past projects such as “Now or Never” and “All Nations Under”. Soon after, singer Sierra Lillard and fellow musician Peter Bussian joined in with Austin and James and found themselves transitioning from the musical stylings of Pop-Punk to Acoustic Folk music. But the quartet isn't your average folk band; the four pull together influences from artists such as Radiohead, A Day to Remeber, Kanye West, and Fleet Foxes. The group then dubbed themselves Cascade Kinzie. You can now find the four musicians strumming Banjos, Mandolins, Washboards, Dobros, and Guitars with lush Vocal Harmonies from the streets of downtown to coffee shops and other venues in Southwestern Colorado.
