Carlo Fedeli (Venice , about 1622 - Venice , December 19, 1685) was an Italian musician and composer , the first member of the Fedeli family called Saggion . String instrumentalist in the ducal chapel of the basilica of San Marco , he was concert master of the same from 1661 and instrument master of the orchestra of the orphanage of the beggars from the following year. Among the lost works of him are remembered the Ermelinda and the Don Quixote of La Mancha . He also composed 12 playings for 2-4 instruments with organ , a Triosonata preserved in Vienna, a Cantata and a piece for voice and basso continuo included in a collection of Canzonette per camerapublished in 1670. According to his son Alessandro , Carlo was in great demand by foreign courts, but he never moved from Venice.
