Guglielmo Lipparini (Bologna, around 1578 - Bologna, around 1645) was an Italian musician and composer. Also called Guglielmo Liparino, he was an Augustinian monk. He studied with Tiburzio Massaino and, at the beginning of his activity, he entered the court of the Duke of Monte Marciano, in Bellagio. In 1609 he was appointed Chapel Master of the Como Cathedral where he remained until 1629, the year in which he definitively returned to the Convent of San Giacomo (Bologna) from where he had left and where he died. He was the author of both sacred and profane passages. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
