Cacophonauts are a couple of lads from Manchester, recording music in bedrooms with spoons as guitar capos. They would like to make whatever kind of music they like, but more often end up making whatever kind of music they can afford to make. Perhaps when one of them gets a job, the production values might improve, and they can explore the vast influence of artists like Tom Waits, Neutral Milk Hotel, Why? and Boards of Canada, but both understand this may be a long time coming. In the meantime they write simple pop songs, both intentionally misleading people who dont know what "pop" means and appealing to people who do.
