CRKLR is KUDZU KID aka C-STARsound (a division of CTYForganization). Under the mythical culture hero pseudonym CRKLR, C-Star of C-STARsound composes utilizing an elastic array of sound sources. On the albums MEGALOMECHA (LIFE AS RPG) and PANGEA, both released in 2004,CRKLR blends, chops and fuses lo-fi string improvization on tape, machine sounds, extict animal calls, generated sine and square wave, drum samples, indian tabla machine, and a micro-cassette recorder sonic sketch diary. CRKLR has a sonic lexicon falling inside many classifications of composition while remaining musically prototypical. Similarities can be found in the work of Pierre Henry, Dissecting Table, Single Unit, but also in the in the Power-Violence and breakcore movements within the punk and dnb.
