Maialen Gurbindo López (born May 13, 1994) is an Spanish singer. Maialen studied music at the Orfeón Pamplonés Juvenil and at the Hilarion Eslava public music school. She also sang in 3indarrok Elektrotxaranga, Biluzik, and a gospel choir. In 2017, the Chica Sobresalto project was formed with Maialen Gurbindo (vocalist), Ander Arlegi (bass), Ibai Sanz (guitar), Gorka Cía (guitar) and Aritz Legarrea (drums), who were joined by Leire Celestino on piano. In October 2017, the first album called "Sobresalto" was presented and, a month later, it hit the news after winning the Young Art Meetings of Navarra organized by the Institute of Sport and Youth.
