By The Docks is a one-man band from New Westminster, BC, otherwise known as the solo project of Andrei Dumitrescu. Songs are released at an irregular rate, and the genre often varies, though the majority of songs can be classified as "Instrumental". Lyrics have slowly begun to creep into more recent releases, and the goal of this project is to create a repertoire of songs lacking in vocal talent, but rich in lyrical meaning and musicality. Andrei, born in Romania, is a full-time university student and has been playing the piano since the age of 7. Having finished the Royal Conservatory of Music, he picked up several other instruments, allowing him to create this entirely independent project.
