Atoosa is a singer-songwriter based out of New York City, and has released two full length albums and one EP to date. Her first EP "Out of the Jar" in 1999, was quickly followed up with "Sound Travels Up" in 2000. It would be another six years before "Night of the Deep Bloom" would be released. Each release has met with much critical praise. Her sound takes a lot of influence from the folk genre, with exceptionally styled and crafted lyrics and generally sparse instrumentation. This instrumentation often centers around either a piano (she's classically trained) or a guitar (self-taught).
