Our self titled debut album was released 02.28.2014 the music is metal based but spreads out into other genres of music like latin, latin jazz, jazz, ambience and a few more. The lyrics go from deep philosophical into the sicknesses of the mind and questions of life. The members of the band are from Japan,Germany, Israel and the USA. We all met at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA where we studied our respective instruments. Some of our influences are Between the buried and me, Paco de Lucia, Squarepusher, Vinnie Colaiuta and many more... Ayaka Hayashi who is the voice of ...But A Thought is a very talented and versatile singer. She catches every mood the instrumentals provide and amplifies it with her unusual ideas and her angelic voice which stands in a crass contrast to her brutal screams and shouts. (Japan) Royi Yaakoby the guitar player pushes the music to the next level with oriental riffs as well as with his capability to play a lot of styles from brutal and skilled metal over finger style acoustic and latin guitar to crazy soli that leave you wondering. His integrate tone combined with his ideas all through the music history makes listening an exciting experience. (Israel) Dan holds down the bottom with his bass. His little excursions into the higher register on his instrument make him a lead bass player worth listening to. A lot of the songwriting and arrangement goes onto his account. His ADHD does not really help to make the music more ordinary. (Germany)
