Bringing Back the Glory is an old school hardcore band based out of the Electric City, Scranton, Pennsylvania. The band was established in summer 2004 by guitarist Bob Sporer, vocalist Keven Spencer, bassist Mike Sporer, and drummer Jimmy Godino. There was a slight line-up change in May 2005 when Jimmy left the band on good terms and was replaced by drummer Dan Kishbaugh. Early September 2005 Dan unexpectedly bowed out of the band and was replaced by Adam Belve in November of 2005. BBTG is mainly known for their fast paced style of hardcore music in the vein of NYHC. Their influences range from Hardcore, Metal, Punk and Oi music. However their main influences are from bands like Shutdown, Madball, Skarhead, Warzone and Agnostic Front. They have played with bands like 25 Ta Life, Full Blown Chaos, Strength For a Reason, Ten Crowns, Wisdom in Chains, and Turmoil to name a few. BBTG is currently still playing shows and have two self released demos available. Whether their songs are about betrayal and life struggles, brotherhood, unity, or working class solidarity, Bringing Back the Glory brings energy to their music and stays true to their roots. BBTG will be heading into the studio shortly with the original line-up to record a few tracks that have been staples at their shows for a few months. They just added another drummer to replace Adam. Chris from the band Dead Radical is going to be taking over the kit in the next few weeks. Check 'em out on Myspace at http://www.mysp
