Recognized for being a movement as much as being a band, BHB has been hailed as uninhibited, refreshing, and spirited. A 13-person "thrill-quest" formed by shira e. (Shira Erlichman) in 2008, their spirited dance-soul sound is unimstakable, notable for how it blends audience members and the band, until one can't be told from the other. Improvisational, experimental, and intensely emotional - the band has brought packed rooms to their feet - whether to dance, sing along, or in ovation. Comprised of shira e. on lead, cello, viola, and a ten person choir, BHB romanced the Pioneer Valley (Western Massachusetts) music scene, as well as Boston - shira e's home base.
