Brian Johnson and The Acquitted formed in 2008. With heartland roots and country branches, they have been spreading the gospel of rock across the Bible Belt. From biker bars to coffeehouses, opening for touring acts, and playing as the headliners, Brian Johnson and The Acquitted have been working hard to make their name. Born of love, sadness, and the power of music, songwriters Brian Johnson and David Allen understand what it takes to tell a damn good story and get the feet stomping at the same time. In 2010, they released their debut album, Cold Friday. At once fresh and familiar, the album combines acoustic and electric guitars at the heart of Americana. These songs weave stories of people, from the down and out narrator of "Remember You Said" to the jangle pop of "Hear Me Tonight." Each track stands alone telling a unique story, and at the end all are unified. These songs lend a voice to different characters, but all hailing from the same place, be it the center or the outskirts of town.
