about

With his scattered memories, mysterious ways, and voyage of a second life, it is difficult to pin down Brent Emanuel’s origins. Born on Bob Dylan’s 38th birthday in the US government created, once secret city of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Spending most of his youth in the Atomic City, Brent also spent time in Tulsa and rural Osage Indian Territory of Oklahoma until eventually settling among the blue ridge mountains of Virginia. Battling life-changing events, hospitalizations, and a constant struggle to keep his head above water. At times refusing to take any money from listeners and other times begging for change with his voice and guitar echoing off city sidewalks. A loner, a rebel, a weirdo, a survivor, a disc jockey, a believer, a character, a prophet, an individual, an artist, constantly struggling to avoid the realms of success. While keeping his solo work a constant, Brent has led such underground ramshackle bands as, Emanuel Labor, No No No, The Aborted Nuns, and No Hay Banda.
