Pokett is a band based in Paris, France. As inspired by folk music than by an electronic sound research, Pokett mixes acoustic & electric guitars, singing and various instruments, with laptop generated sounds. After studying sound engineering, working with Calc and Un automne à Lob Nor and playing live with Domotic & Davide Balula (active suspension), Parisian Stéphane Garry created Pokett to make music of his own. Pokett builds strong songs from intimate acoustic melodies, inspired by the introspective songwriting of Bert Jansch, Nick Drake and more contemporary artists like Elliott Smith and Sufjan Stevens.
