BLUNTED STYLUS is the project name of Brisbane producer JIGZAW. A founding member of the RESIN DOGS, mix-tape master, and prolific beat maker, having a Loops Intact approach to funk-jazz sampling with many varied styles & guests, with the Resin Dogs, Blunted Stylus co-produced their debut album Grand Theft Audio alongside Robert Reed of the world famous TROUBLE FUNK (Pump Pump Pump Pump me up!!). BLUNTED STYLUS hosted one of Australia's 1st Hip-Hop shows on Brisbane community radio 4ZZZ with partner BIZZE (see Street Sounds HIP HOP 17 Hall of Fame), the program went for 1 year under the name "JUS 2 DEF" back in 1988, (the show came about after Jigzaw & Bizze deejayed on 3turntables at the 1987 DEF JAM), for the next ten years or so DJ Katch continued with the "Phat Tape Hip Hop Show" which has become a staple on the Brisbane airwaves ever since. (Hosts: Pete, Anne, Dj Fib, Dj Frenzie, SeanyB, Complex, DJ Dce). First Blunted Stylus release was HEMPATITIS in 95 feat Dj Fib, the same year JIGZAW's JOURNAL" appeared on "HOMEBREWS vol 2" comp' featuring LAZY GREY & Dj DAMAGE. Jigzaw Geoff, Dave Atkins & Dj Katch founded the band RESIN DOGS at the end of 1996; released 2Blunted (Blunted Stylus 2) with the Resin Dogs onboard in 1997; Blunted Stylus "3" released in 1998 with local guests, & the most recent being CORNER PIECES, a finely woven tapestry of sound-stitched loops, vocal snippets, ever-changing drum patterns, sonic chops, semi orchestral arrangements and undeniable gro
