The Down Under Beats Crew are a hip hop act from the Blue Mountains, Australia. Innovative hip hop production and turntablism combined with hard hitting technical raps create a sound that is best described as refined rawness. In 2004 D-U-B crew completed their debut album Hiphoperation (distributed by Obese Records). Soon after the release of Hiphoperation Down Under Beats Crew won the Triple J Unearthed competition for N.S.W (2004). The winning track "Cloud Number Seven" remained on Triple J's high rotation for a couple of months and received widespread acclaim, other Singles off the album including 'A.W.O.L', 'Sidewalk Stencil' and 'Getting Out Of It' have also received regular airplay. 2005 was a full on year for the crew, apart from a busy performance schedule they headed back the studio to begin writing and recording their next album "Under Raps".
