Black Bears are a Birmingham based four piece. The music is a catchy and eloquent alternative style with subtle hints of indie, folk and progressive. Having formed in early 2010, Black Bears started to gig in October of the same year. The band draws its eclectic sound from each member’s diverse and varied tastes in music. Patch with his love of Folk and the Blues, Luke primarily being a Jazz and Funk player, combined with Mark’s years playing Progressive and experimental music and Anthony's 'Bell like tones' creates a truly unique sound. This mix of musical tastes gives Black Bears a fresh and contemporary sound as well as acknowledging the legendary artists of the past.
