Birds of Lidingö - that's Janice, a well-known, highly educated nightingale from Melbourne, Australia, who travelled the world with her classical orchestra and was the first bird to be seen holding a cello bow, and Andreas, a scrubby, street-smart songbird who used to sing in the parks and cafes of Köln (Germany) for a crumb of cake and a bowl of water. One day they were caught and brought to a rich man's house on Lidingö, an island near Stockholm, Sweden. The man collected exotic and talented songbirds from all over the world for his entertainment and held them in a golden cage. Janice and Andreas became friends and their life in the rich man's house was easy and full of music. However, although they didn't miss anything in terms of food and security in their golden cage they missed one thing: Freedom. So, one day they managed to break out of the cage and fluttered out into the open. Since then they have been roaming the forests and fields all over the globe, writing and playing music and developing their own sound between Folk, Blues and Pop.
