Laura Victoria is a British folk-pop singer-songwriter and cellist who performs traditional folk songs and her own originals, accompanying herself on cello. She is sometimes accompanied by Jo Cooper (on clawhammer style banjo) and Josh Wolfsohn (on percussion). She studied Folk and Traditional Music at Newcastle University. Her debut EP, "Acting Up", was released in 2010. Her debut album, "Head Above Water", was released in 2014. Her second album, 'Today's Another Day', was released on Ganbei Records in July 2019. She has played the Cambridge Folk Festival, Sidmouth Folk Week, Edinburgh Fringe, The Borderline, St Pancras Old Church, The Sage, Gateshead, and has opened for artists including Simone Felice, Gaelynn Lea, Jackie Oates, Alistair Anderson, O’Hooley and Tidow and The Once.
